OMIMI commends Delta PDP over successful Congresses, lauds Okowa for 2nd least poor State award

The Political Adviser to Governor lfeanyi Okowa, Omimi Esquire, has commended the State Governor and the PDP leadership in the State over the successful conduct of the just concluded ward and local government congresses and subsequent inauguration of elected Ward and LGA Chairmen.

Omimi Esquire noted that the successful congresses has once again demonstrated the unflinching leadership qualities of the party leader, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as well as the unity and internal democracy in the party membership at all levels.

The Political Adviser while congratulating the newly elected party Chairmen in the 25 LGAs as well as other executives, urged them to carry all members along and avoid actions capable of disrupting the unity and oneness that pervades the party.

Omimi Esquire, also paid glowing tributes to Governor Okowa for the recent second position of the state as the least poor state in the country, noting that it is an indication of the Governor’s astute management of men and resources. 

Stating that Delta under Governor Okowa’s watch has witnessed tremendous economic growth in line with the administration’s stronger Delta vision, Omimi Esquire said all the indexes for a sustainable economic growth are outlined in Delta’s success story.

He also commended Governor Okowa and Deltans for the containment of the corona virus pandemic, stressing that the measures of containment put in place by the State government to curtail the spread of the virus have proved successful.

The Political Adviser appealed to Deltans to continue to adhere to government’s precautionary measures such as safe distancing, washing of hands and wearing of face masks as well as observance of curfew among others.
