Warri South Cooperative Society, Presents palliatives to Catholic Old People’s Home

Warri South Staff Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited, WSSMPCSL, on Friday May 15, presented food items, beverages, disinfectant and toiletries to Catholic Old People’s Home in Warri, Fresh Angle International can report.

                                                                     

Items presented were 50 tubers of yam, three bags of rice, two bags of beans, two cartons of Indomie noodles, 25 litres of palm oil, two bags of garri, two cartons of vegetable oil, tablet soaps, rolls of tissue papers, beverages as well as disinfectant.

Chairman of the Charity Committee of WSSMPCSL, Mr. Ogedegbe Tuoyo, explained that the aim of visiting Catholic Old People’s Home, was to fulfill the corporate social responsibility of the body.

 

Mr. Ogedegbe, enjoined the senior citizens to receive the items whole heartedly and prayed God to bless everyone present with long life.

 

Rev. Father Benedict Ukutegbe, who received the items on behalf of the elderly people, thanked the Cooperative for choosing Catholic Old People’s Home for the charity project.

 

Rev. Father Ukutegbe, disclosed: “We have 48 elderly persons here, that we minister to, but the rooms are not good enough, that is why we are completing the rooms and also develop this place and also create more rooms, although we lack facilities”.

 

He also noted: “In Israel, those harvesting never takes everything, but leaves some for the elderly as well as widows and for you remembering this, God will bless you with long life and everyone who took part of the initiative, will never lack”.

 

Our Correspondent reports that members of the WSSMPCSL Management Committee include; Mr. Aguaoye Gabriel- Cooperative President, Mrs. Vera Towaghantse- Vice President,  Mr. Ajinomisanghan Tuoyo- Secretary, Mr. Ogedegbe Tuoyo- Treasurer, Mrs. Amaka Ikpuri, Mr. Dievbiere Paul, Mrs. Shell Patricia, Mr. Jackson Moses and Mr. Ozomaro Michael.

 

The Charity Committee consists of Ogedegbe D. Tuoyo as Chairman, Mrs. Vera Towaghantse and Mr. Dievbiere Paul as members.
