Six workers of the same company, iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State, have contracted Coronavirus, even as the Delta State Government this morning, Wednesday May 20, reported one new COVID-19 positive case in the state, bringing the total number of reported Coronavirus cases in the oil and gas-rich state to 28.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in a tweet this morning, disclosed that as a result of the confirmation tests for the six new cases, iSON Xperiences, has been shut and will be decontaminated.
Makinde tweeted: “The COVID-19 confirmation tests for six suspected cases came back POSITIVE. All six cases are from the same organization, iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 143.
“The company remains shut and will be decontaminated. The Emergency Operations Centre has continued intensive contact tracing to identify persons of interest linked to members of staff in the company.”
