A 31-year-old officer with the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Emmanuel Ilori has been fired by authorities of the agency for defiling the 9-year-old daughter of his colleague.
This much was disclosed Thursday February 20 by the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, Wole Ogodo.
According to the Police PRO, Wole Ogodo, the suspect, Emmanuel Ilori, will soon be charged to court.
Fresh Angle gathered that the incident allegedly happened at Omitogun Estate Shebi area of Akure metropolis, Ondo State, when Ilori went to visit his colleague, Oguntayo Oluwafemi (father of the victim) at his residence.
It was further learnt that it was when Ilori visited Oguntayo Oluwafemi that he bolted the door and pounced on the 9-year-old girl after his host/ colleague, who is father to the victim went out to buy something with the intention of entertaining Ilori after brief discussion.
Luck however ran out on Ilori as the father of the victim discovered that he had no money on him and decided to rush back to the house, only to find his door firmly locked from behind.
The victim’s father reportedly knocked severally and all he could hear from the room was the screaming of his daughter.
Oguntayo forced the door open and met his colleague, Emmanuel Ilori defiling his daughter. He immediately raised alarm and attempt by the rapist to escape was thwarted as neigbours arrested and took him to Okuta Elerinla police station.
The Ondo Police Head of Operations, Sunday Ajayi, in his reaction to the incident, declared that the action of the officer was an embarrassment that should not be treated with levity.
