Former Secretary General of National Association of Unemployed Graduates, NAUG, Comrade Agbefe Sebastine has vowed that the All Progressives Congress, APC will take over the reigns of power in Delta State come 2015.
The ex- NAUG Secretary General who recently defected from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP to the APC hinged his optimism on what he described as the mass registration of new members into the APC, “including defecting PDP members and others from other political parties”.
Comrade Agbefe Sebastine made the declaration when he received members of the National Association of Unemployed Graduates, NAUG, at his country home in Ifie, Warri South local government.
The former PDP grassroots leader whose defection to the APC is being viewed as an indication of more heavy weights of the PDP cross carpeting to the newly formed APC as a result of his association with prominent members of the ruling PDP, assured NAUG members that as long as everyone realize the “inevitable change in our political landscape without sitting on the fence and working together through the continuous massive mobilization of members”, the APC will provide the much needed dividends of democracy across the country and Delta State in particular.
He enjoined members of the APC not to relent in their membership drive but to embark on more aggressive mobilization of members through neigbour to neighbor, street to street, community to community and city to city campaign with the popular slogan “change” as an instrument.
According to Comrade Agbefe Sebastine, the overwhelming turnout of members in the just concluded APC registration exercise is an eloquent testimony of acceptance of change that will make Deltans in particular and Nigerians in general to heave a sigh of relief from perceived political suffocation.
