The Technical Meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC Countries, participating under the Declaration of Cooperation, DoC is reportedly convening for the 7th time, via video-conference in Vienna, Fresh Angle International understands.
The meeting assembles twice a year in preparation for the OPEC & non-OPEC ministerial meetings, within the established framework of the DoC.
This Newspaper can report that the technical meeting serves as a platform for OPEC & non-OPEC participants to discuss technical matters and deliberate on oil market conditions.
A number of international experts were invited to share their insights on pertinent issues and developments.
Mohammad Barkindo recognized the unprecedented support of countries participating in the Declaration of Cooperation in these challenging times, which has elevated the esteemed collaborative platform to incredible, new heights.
“We managed to bring together a group of producers under the DoC in December 2016. This group reversed the market downturn of 2014 – 2016. We have been called upon once again, by the oil industry, indeed the world, to take action in the face of dire circumstances. And we have done that, with speed and aplomb”, said the OPEC SG.
