The petition

The Olare-Aja of Ajudaibo Community, Pa. Victor Daje, Secretary of the Community, Mr. Abraham Enegho, Pa. Sunday Daje-Elder, Pa. Alfred Beyegha-Elder, Pa. Kaye Inone-Elder, Pa. Jackson Omabuwa- Elder, Madam Ojuoroh Edema and Madam Mabel Akuleyi, have petitioned the Chairman of Ugborodo Community Council of Elders, UCCE, over the controversially constituted Ugborodo Community Interim Caretaker Committee, saying: “We are particularly not in sound terms with the constitution of the Ugborodo Community Interim Committee, because Ajudaibo Community did not make any nomination to the Committee.”

The petition dated July 10, 2020, noted: “We wish to use this medium to express our utmost dissatisfaction with the scrappy and shady manners the Council of Elders, constitute the Ugborodo Community Interim Caretaker Committee published in Vanguard Newspaper of the 7th July, 2020 on pages 34 and 35.

“It would interest you to note that elders of Ajudaibo Community, who are members of the Council of Elders, were all surprised to see signatures assigned to their names and signature got to your newspaper publication.

“Ajudaibo Community demands explanation from the Council of Elders for this act of distrust and until the explanation is meant the purported names from Ajudaibo will not be accepted.

“We look forward hearing from you as urgent as possible.”
