The Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation, has concluded arrangements for the commissioning of a multi-million naira four motorized boreholes, it executed in four local government Areas of Kogi State.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the gesture by the foundation was informed by the need to provide portable water supply to distress communities suffering from acute water challenges in the state.
Chairman of the Foundation, Prince Idoko Dan Ogacheko, said the Grand Patron of the Foundation, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, was expected to inaugurate the water projects come August 18.
Areas where the projects were executed include, Emewe in Dekina Local Government Area, Ogbonicha in Ofu Local Government Area, Agasa in Adavi Local Government Area and Odolu in Kabba/Bunnu Local Government Area.
Prince Ogacheko, explained that as part of activities leading to the commissioning, the Grand Patron of the foundation will visit the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim and the Obaro of Kabba, Chief Solomon Owoniyi.
According to the Foundation Chairman, the motorized boreholes, are a pilot programme that would eventually be extended to other communities in the state, even as he noted that the donations has no political coloration.
