New NGO, Great Delta Forum, established in Asaba

A Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, known as Great Delta Forum, GDF, has been established in Asaba, Delta State, with a 9- member pioneer Executive Committee put in place to administer the affairs of the organization.

According to a statement issued today, Tuesday August 11, by the group’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Chris Mosindi, GDF has Mr. Oyadonghan Fortune as the Chairman, Ottah Norbeth; Vice Chairman and Mr. Akpoguma Emmanuel, will serve as the Secretary-General.

Other Executive Committee members include Omojefe Mandyx; Financial Secretary, Mrs. Mogboruko Vivian; Woman Leader, Ofominyor Blessing; Treasurer, Sir. Okolie Victor; Organizing Secretary and Oniovosa Akpako Eddy; Liaisoning/ Contact and Mobilization Officer.

Fresh Angle International understands that membership of the Great Delta Forum, cuts across the three Senatorial Districts of Delta State, “in order to meet up with the ethnicity balance in the state, for uniform spread of functions, programmes and activities”.

The statement added: “The Core Values of the organization are aimed at promoting the Socio-cultural values of Deltans and mobilizing support for Government Leadership.

“Furthermore, the Mission Statements of the NGO are: to collaborate with government to providing good Governance through Transparency in the public activities, identifying the areas of NEEDS of the populace and giving FEEDBACK to the government on the people's sentiments, Resolution and mediation on critical subjects/areas of disagreements among the various components of the state.

“The Mission Statements would be geared towards a vision to seeing healthy and united Delta State and to express Deltans interest on dividends of good Governance irrespective of political affiliations”.
