One of Nigeria's foremost Gospel Generals, Pastor Ayodele Joseph Oritsejafor, on Sunday August 23, disowned a fraudulent Instagram account by the name pastor.ayo_oritsejafor, directing members of his Warri based Word of Life Bible Church, to do the needful online to report the scammer (s) behind the fraudulent Instagram account.
The former two - time President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, had similarly dissociated himself from a fake Facebook account operated in his name.
A member of Word of Life Bible Church Warri, who addressed the church congregation on the behest of Pastor Oritsejafor, disclosed that while the fake Instagram account with the name pastor.ayo_oritsejafor was following 1, 676 people, the authentic Instagram account of the famous preacher by the name ayo_oritsejafor was following just six people with over 12,000 followers.
Pastor Oritsejafor, also revealed how someone sent him a text message Saturday August 22, confessing, "I have been stealing money from the church (Word of Life Bible Church) altar and I am dying", begging for forgiveness.
According to the renowned Christian Cleric, the person pleaded for mercy and he prayed God to save the self - confessed altar thief, adding, " but it is no longer in my hands, because the altar is now replying".
Fresh Angle International understands that the reference made to the altar theft by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, was to warn against the consequences of stealing from God or defrauding unsuspecting people in God's name.
