A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State, Comrade Sebastine Agbefe has described the emergence of Prophet Jones Ode Erue as Delta State Chairman of APC as one that will strengthen the party in the state and ensure it defeats the ruling PDP in the 2015 elections.
Comrade Agbefe who expressed the optimism in a chat with newsmen in Warri after the state congress of the party held at Asaba, the Delta State capital, averred that the antecedents of Prophet Jones Ode Erue whom he described as a dogged fighter, seasoned activist and detribalized Deltan will guarantee “light at the end of the tunnel for APC in Delta state”.
While commending the party congress planning committee for organizing a “transparent and peaceful congress against all expectations”, Comrade Agbefe enjoined the new leadership of the party to “harmonize all aggrieved members” to ensure total victory for the APC in Delta State come 2015.
He appealed to the leadership of the party to as a matter of urgency address issues emanating from local government areas where congress were not held as a result of differences among pockets of its members, even as he noted that those who lost out in the state congress should not feel left out.
