Delta Police Command arrests killers of vigilante heads


The Delta State Police Command has arrested six suspects in connection with the brutal killings of the Udu Central Vigilante Chairman, Hon. Prosper Erhinyojare and one Godwin Migaga (A.k.a, Kpuffman) leader of Red Bar Security in Warri, both of whom were murdered last month.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that those arrested are: 30-year old Eric Umukoro , Akpojotor Christian Obele, Joshua Ogheneovo (A.K.A. Abala) Caleb Oghenetega (A.K.A. leg) Solomon Olo and their female accomplice Oke Onorede .

In a statement, Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikechukwu Aduba said other members of the gang identified simply as David, Rege , Festus and Ojekom are still at large.

Items recovered from the suspects are: 2 AK 47 rifles, 90 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition and two locally made cut-to-size single barrel short guns.

According to CP Ikechukwu Aduba, the suspects have made confessional statements, highlighting their operations and degree of involvement in the murder of the two vigilante heads, just as he added that the vigilante heads were killed by the suspects to instill fears on the populace.
