Okowa 2015: Delta Political Vanguard inaugurates Burutu Executive

A socio-political pressure group, Delta Political Vanguard, DPV, has inaugurated an Executive Committee for Burutu Federal Constituency in other to ensure that the member representing Aniocha North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa emerges Governor of Delta State come 2015.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the inauguration held at the Mein Grammar School in Kiagbodo, home town of Ijaw National Leader, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark on Saturday May 10.

Inaugurating the Burutu Federal Constituency Executive, the State Chairman of Delta Political Vanguard and member of DESOPADEC Board, Hon. Michael Diden defined politics as "work and chop".

According to Hon. Diden, the era where “the monkey works and baboon eats is over” noting that it is the equivalent of the work of the newly inaugurated executive that they will benefit in return if Senator Okowa is elected governor of Delta State come 2015.

Other state executive members of DPV who also spoke at the political event canvassed for grass-roots support for Senator Okowa in his gubernatorial ambition and advised the newly inaugurated Burutu Federal Constituency Executive of DPV to be united.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Burutu Coordinator of Delta Political Vanguard, DPV, Chief Julius Takeme pledged their unflinching support to work for the emergence of Senator Okowa as Delta State Governor come 2015.

Asiyai Richard, Secretary, Tony Temeweni, Publicity, Okpako Doctor, Legal Adviser, Comrade Okou. A. Andaowei, Treasurer, Fuludu Raphael, Youth Leader, Madam Tokere Saturday, Women Leader, Sunday Clepson, Auditor, Hon. A. Akzi, Financial Secretary, Hon. Akpoerebo Clarke, Assistant Organizer, Seifere Eseimokumo, Assistant Secretary, Akpofini Potoki, Ex-officio, Philip Kase , Ex-officio and Bariki Emmanuel, Ex-officio.
