As the judiciary kick start the 2020/2021 legal year in Kogi State, Judicial officers have been charged to be just, truthful and honest in dispensing Justice and in all their dealings to guarantee a place for them in paradise.
A Muslim cleric, Ustaz Tanko Talle made the call at a special Juma'at service held at the Lokoja Central Mosque on Friday.
Talle maintained that righteousness was a prerequisite to access paradise as provided by almighty Allah for his followers and implored judges to adhere to the basic tenets to guarantee their place in Aljanah.
Speaking at the service, Grand Khadi, Kogi State Sharia Court of Appeal, Justice Abdulkareem Aruwa, called for continued prayers for those in positions of authority and for Judges to dispense cases with the fear of Allah.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Grand Kadi, described the judiciary as an important arm of government which should be given the necessary support in all spheres.
Stressing on the importance of prayers as the legal year commence in the state, Aruwa called on all Muslims faithfuls of pray against all forms of crime and criminal activities in the society.
The Grand Kadi, who described as unfortunate and saddened the tragic tanker explosion which claimed several lives earlier in the week in Lokoja, Kogi State called for prayers for families who lost loved ones in the recent petrol tanker fire accident which claimed several lives in the State.
Highpoint of the special Juma'at service includes special prayers for the success of the 2020/2021 Legal Year by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammad Aminu Sha'aban and prayers for the three Heads of Courts, management and staff of the state Judiciary which was done by the Chief Imam of the Council of Ulamau, Ustaz Abdullahi Mambo.
