The Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, has expressed sadness and shock over the death of its National President, Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel Abdukadir mni.
In a statement signed by Comrade Tade Adeyemi, Kogi State NULGE Chairman, on Thursday morning, he said the demise of comrade Abdukadir is coming at a time his services to uplift Local Government Administration would have been most needed.
Fondly called Mr. Autonomy, Comrade Adeyemi described the death of its National President as one too many.
He maintained that the death of Comrade Abdukadi reamains a colossal loss that has shaken the activities of NULGE to its foundation in the country.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Comrade Adeyemi, hinted that the union in the State is however consoled by the fact that Late Comrade Abdukadir left indelible legacies and achievements that would stand the test of time as he has greatly repositioned the union for better service delivery.
In a bid to honor the departed NULGE leader, the Kogi State Chapter of the union has declared a three days of mourning for the late National President.
The Kogi State NULGE President thereafter urged all members to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and for God Almighty to grant his immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Statement further consoled with all the National Officers of NULGE, various State Chapters and the 774 Local Government Area chapters of the union across the country urging Members to be consoled by the fact that Late Abdukadir lived a good life of service to the union, stressing that he would be greatly missed by the NULGE family in Kogi State.
Late Comr. Ibrahim Khaleel Abdukadir mni was born in wudi kano state in 1969. He passed on to glory on Wednesday 7th October, 2020 while he was doing exercise. He will be buried today Thursday in Kano State according to Islamic rites.
