The Kogi State Acting Chief Judge, Justice Henry Adebola Olusiyi, has inaugurated a three member special staff verification committee to determine the staff strength of the State High Court and the Judiciary Service Commission.
Inaugurating the committee on Friday, the Acting Chief Judge, Justice Henry Olusiyi, said one of the committee's terms of reference is to determine the actual nominal roll of the state Judiciary.
The committee according to Olusiyi is also expected to determine the actual monthly wage bill of the High Court and JSC, adding that would investigate all appointment made and all letters of appointment issued between January 2020 till date and determine whether or not there was proper authorization for such appointment.
"The special committee will investigate and determine whether the salary scales adopted in the two establishment are proper and appropriate.
"The committee will look into any other ancillary matter or matters as may be appropriate" he CJ added.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the three members special committee are Alhaji Ibrahim Alhasaan, Chairman, Mr Samuel Atsumbe, Secretary and Mr Paul Egwu, who will serve as member.
The special committee has 14 days to submit its report.
