The Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality and Extra-Judicial Killings sitting in Asaba, Delta State, has ordered the Police to arrest a self-styled Alternative Medicine Practitioner, Mr. Okpako Kingsley Omonigho, for allegedly trying to bribe the panel.
Fresh Angle International can report that the Panel handed down the order at about 1:30pm, Wednesday January 20, during its sitting.
A Human Rights Activist, Mr. Harrison Gwamnishu, told Our Correspondent that Mr. Omonigho and his Lawyer, met him two days earlier, with the intent of bribing him, so as to gain favour from the Panel.
After much pleading from Omonigho’s Counsel, the Panel ordered the police to investigate him.
According to the Panel and the Police, Omonigho was arrested when his Gardener mentioned his name in relation to the death of one Favour from Abraka.
The Gardener, reportedly told the Judicial Panel of Inquiry that Favour was found dead, a day after she was handed over to Omonigho.
