The Director of Personnel Management of Warri South Local Government Council cum Acting Chairman, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Igbrude, has pleaded for the support of The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, The Orosuen of Okere-Urhobo, Warri, Okumagba II and The Ovie of Agbarha, Warri, Orhifi Orhovwagbarha Ememoh II, so as to sustain the prevailing peace in Warri South Local Government Area.

Dr. Igbrude, made the appeal Monday January 25, when she led Treasurer to the Local Government, Mr. Moses Ugborugbo and the Assistant Director of Administration in the Council, Mr. Geoffrey Anamali to the traditional rulers, in continuation of her peace building project, which began with a visit to Security Chiefs in the local government area last week.

In an interview, she urged the traditional rulers to continually support the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa administration in his bid to provide the needed human capital and infrastructural development across Delta State.

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, who was represented by the Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayirimi Emami, enjoined Dr. Igbrude, to see Warri as her home, saying she should not hesitate to ask for whatever support needed to succeed as Acting Chairman of the local government.

The Orosuen of Okere-Urhobo, Okumagba II and Orhifi Orhovwagbarha Ememoh II, advised Dr. Igbrude, to continually promote the diversity of people in Warri South Local Government Area, beyond its indigenes, saying Warri will remain peaceful with people like her in the saddle, “because of your respect for traditional institutions”.
