Empowerment Programme: Olarewaju commends Okowa

The Transition Committee Chairman, Oshimili South Local Government Council, Honourable Chinwe Monu Olarewaju, has expressed the Council's appreciation to Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for the donation of a brand new medically equipped Ambulance for the use of the Oshimili South Primary Health -Care unit.

In a letter of appreciation, Mrs. Olarewaju, described the gesture as an "unprecedented generosity and show of love towards humanity." She said the donation of the Ambulance is in line with Senator Okowa's avowal commitment towards health related issues in the Country.

While assuring Senator Okowa that the Council will use the Ambulance judiciously, the Oshimili South Council boss said, this wonderful feat will remain indelible in the minds of the people of Oshimili South.

Similarly, the Acting Provost, College of Education, Agbor, Dr. Josephine Konyeme, and the Rector, Ogwashi-Uku Polytechnic,  Dr. Edna Mogekwu, have on behalf of their respective institutions, appreciated Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, for the donation of 110 laptops each to both institutions to boost teaching, learning and research activities.

In separate statements, Dr. Konyeme and Dr. Mogekwu, described Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, "as a lover of education, who has remained consistently committed to the general well being of the people, saying the institutions will remain grateful for the assistance.

In the words of the College Provost: "Senator Okowa has always demonstrated by the numerous assistance he has given to various institutions within and outside Delta State that he is an advocate of quality education."

The Provost said, the gesture is more apt ad it shall enhance computer literacy in Agbor and its environs, while assisting prospective Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB ) candidates in Computer Based Test ( CBT ) examination.
