SPW: Warri South Council takes delivery of working tools, hands over to Coordinator

The Management of Warri South Local Government Council, led by the Director of Personnel Management, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Igbrude, on Monday February 1, handed over most of the working tools for the Federal Government owned Special Public Works, SPW Programme to the Coordinator in Warri South Local Government Area, Mr. Ahare Andrew.

 

The Local Government Council Management, had earlier taken delivery of the items at Asaba, the Delta State Capital and transported same to Warri, before the handover yesterday.

 

The Coordinator, Special Public Works, SPW, for Warri South Local Government Area, Ahare Andrew, thanked the management of Warri South Local Government Council for facilitating delivery of the items.

 

Fresh Angle International can report that items handed over are: 30 Wheelbarrows, 100 Cutlasses, 10 Safety Signs, 10 Brush Cutters, 10 Fumigation Knapsack Sprayers, 10 Fumigation Chemical Parks, 10 Cleaning Agent, One Ladder, 10 Watering Cans, 100 Hand Shovels/Rake/Fork, 74 Head Pans, 200 Shovels, 30 Buckets, 500 Hand Gloves, 150 Boots, 200 Goggles, 200 Helmets, 200 Brooms/Packers, 30 Trash Picker, 20 Face Caps, 20 T-Shirts, 20 Reflective Jackets and 60 3-in-1 Projector (3 Cartons).

20 Diggers and 200 Rakes are expected to be delivered from Asaba at a later date.

 

Recall that a total of 774,000 persons were recruited for the Special Public Works Programme, under the Office of the Hon. Minister of State, Works, Labour and Empowerment, with each Local Government Council, having 1,000 recruits for the programme, billed to last for three months, beginning from January 2021.
