19-year old Dika Esikwe, on Wednesday February 17, put a call through to the Editor-In-Chief of Fresh Angle International, Ebule Anthony Metsese, saying he was calling from an orphanage in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State, strongly appealing that he should be assisted to locate his father, identified simply as Mr. Esikwe.

According to Dika, his father, Mr. Esikwe, an Igbo man living in Warri, Delta State, abandoned him in Birnin-Kebbi, when he was 11years old, after the demise of his stepmother.

Dika, who just finished his secondary education and seeking university admission, stated that he came home one day from school (then in primary four) while he was 11years old, only to discover the sudden disappearance of his acclaimed father, Mr. Esikwe and two of his younger siblings (a boy, named Daniel and a girl, whose name he couldn’t remember) which his late stepmother had for Mr. Esikwe. According to him, the said Mr. Esikwe did medical work and owned a chemist whilst in Kebbi State.

Dika, explained that he had to meet the owner of the house, he was living with his father, stepmother and younger siblings, to tell him about the disappearance of other members of the family.

According to him, the property owner connected him to a committee set up by the Kebbi State Government and it was the committee that took him to the orphanage in Kebbi, run by the Kebbi State Ministry of Woman Affairs.

While passionately begging that he should be reconnected to his father, Dika emphasized that his real mother, who is married to another man and his father (Esikwe) are based in Warri, Delta State, claiming that he can identify his paternal grandmother if he sees her and can also remember where he lived with his grandmother in Warri, before his father relocated to Birnin-Kebbi and married his late stepmother.

“Please help me locate my father, I know he is in Warri, help me please. I am sending you the picture of the church I was attending with my grandmother, while living with her in Warri”, he pleaded with Our Editor-In-Chief, sending a couple of voice messages on Whatsapp.
