My Attention has been drawn to a publication in the Vanguard Newspaper of Saturday 3rd April 2021, wherein a General meeting of Itsekiri sons and daughters worldwide, was purportedly summoned to be held at Ode - Itsekiri in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, on Monday April 5, 2021.

Let it be known that I, Chief Ayirimi Emami, The Ologbotsere of Warri, is alive, strong and remains the only authorized person and authority to call for a General meeting at Ode - Itsekiri, if the Olu of Warri is indisposed.

The General public should please disregard the unauthorized Public Notice, which is also being circulated on social media platforms. The meeting is not just illegal, but the handiwork of enemies of progress in Warri kingdom. Who are hell bent on wrecking havoc and causing mayhem in Our Revered Kingdom.

LET IT BE KNOWN, THAT BY VIRTUE OF THE DECLARATION BDSL 147 PURSUANT TO THE TRADITIONAL RULERS AND CHIEFS EDICT OF 1979, WHICH GUIDES THE PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION TO THE SUCCESSION TO THE THRONE OF THE OLU OF WARRI, WHEN AN OLU IS INDISPOSED, IT IS ONLY THE OLOGBOSTERE( IN THIS CONTEXT, MY HUMBLE SELF) THAT HAS THE POWER TO SUMMON THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE ITSEKIRI NATION. ANY ACTION TAKEN BY ANY OTHER PERSON(S) IS Null and Void and direct Contradiction of THE EDICT. 

THE SECURITY AGENCIES ARE BY THIS NOTICE, URGED TO HOLD ANY Person or persons RESPONSIBLE THAT GOES CONTRARY TO THE LAW. WHICH COULD CAUSE A BREACH OF PEACE IN WARRI KINGDOM.

ITSEKIRI NATION SHALL ABIDE BY THE LAWS OF THE LAND.
