One 41-year old Alfred Erheren and Stella Maris, said to be 39-year old, were allegedly hit by stray bullets at about 2040hours yesterday, Thursday April 15, when Men of the Police ‘A’ Division in Warri Patrol team, who were on routine Aberdeen system of patrol, heard gun shots suspected to have been released by armed robbers/kidnappers around Odien Junction in Warri.
According to the Ag. Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP. Edafe Bright, as the patrol team closed in on the hoodlums, they quickly abandoned the victims, shot sporadically and escaped into the bush.
The hoodlums reportedly abandoned one tricycle Reg. NO DELTA EFR 060 WZ and one GSM phone, while two expended cartridges were recovered from the scene.
