The Kogi State Government, has strongly condemned the rape allegations levelled against Mr. Nathaniel Ali, the suspended Principal of Rock 'N' Gardens Montessori International School, Lokoja and his friend Mr. Abdulkarim, a former employee of the School.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Fatima Kabir Buba, in a statement issued to newsmen earlier today, Tuesday May 4, described the act as barbaric and unacceptable.
She said the government will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the rape suspects are brought to book.
The Commissioner, stressed that the State Government was determined to protect the girl -child and weed out any bad element that intends to destroy the educational system of the State.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Buba disclosed that the case had been reported to the State Ministry of Justice as all parties involved will face the full wrath of the law.
"This is totally animalistic and disheartening. Imagine a Man who is supposed to teach and protect the child while in school, was reported to have aided the rape of a 15-year old girl.
"This is uncalled for and a disgrace to the educational system, with the crop of people that are mentoring our school children. When it comes to issues of children, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello does not take chances. Kogi Government will not condole this satanic, insane act. There is need for all hands to be on deck to kick out all the bad elements from our school system", she emphasized.
