Apex Igbo socio - cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has declared that Igbos have nothing to lose, if military takes - over from the present democratically elected leadership in the country, particularly at the federal level.
The Igbo group, made the declaration in an electronic statement sent to Fresh Angle International this evening, Tuesday May 4, in response to the position of Elderstateman, Robert Clarke, SAN, wherein he called for a military takeover of the present democratic structure in the country, especially at the Sub National.
In the statement authored by its Secretary - General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Ohanaeze claimed that Igbos are the most marginalized group in Africa, insinuating that Igbos might fair better under military regime than the current federal government.
The Igbo leadership, averred: "A military Federal Government with elected civilian governors, might not be a bad idea.
"Who knows whether Igbos might fair better under military regime than the current federal government? Who knows if Military Government might create additional States for the South - East?" They statement asked.
