Mohammed Kabir of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Kogi State has emerged the interim Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties CNPP in the state.

Mohammed and six other officials were unanimously elected by the seven man committee of the CNPP on Friday in Lokoja.

He urged members of the political parties to forge a common union to give a voice to the people of the state and to make constructive criticisms when policy makers deviate from their social contract with the state.

He decried the inglorious attitude of some members who have been parading themselves as leaders of the Association to perpetrate selfish agenda.

He advised the general public, Government and corporate organisations to be wary of some elements who would want to use the name of the respected and responsible CNPP to fester their personal gains, just as he advise for a crosscheck with the body before dealing with an individual.

He commended the committee for finding him and his Executive worthy to be elected and promise to bring his wealth of experience to move the Association forward.

Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that he assured the public that he will continue to project the image of the Association which is reputed for being in the vanguard in defence of electorate against draconian and anti people's policy of the ruling party .

He called on Journalists whom he said are partners in progress to at all times ensure adequate coverage of their activities in their bid to make the state a better place for all.
