The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kogi State Chapter, has felicitated with Muslim Faithful in the country for the successful completion of this year's Ramadan fasting.
The Association in a statement this morning, Friday May 14, noted that Ramadan was a season of several teachings that centered on humanity, kindness, peace and love for one another.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the statement was jointly signed by the Kogi State Chairman and Secretary of SWAN, Aturu Bishop and Lawal Aliyu, respectively.
According to SWAN, this year’s Eid al-Fitri celebration came at a very challenging time, due to the global fight against COVID-19 pandemic, which has badly crippled economic activities amid the rising security challenges in the country.
The statement urged Muslim faithful, to use the occasion to pray for the healing of our Nation and the world at large, from the ongoing Coronavirus plague and also expose those behind heinous crimes.
