Breaking: 20 doses of AstraZeneca COVID - 19 vaccine hit Warri South for fresh inoculation

Residents of Warri South Local Government Area in Delta State, who didn’t have the first jab of AstraZeneca COVID - 19 vaccine and are not captured in the ongoing second jab of the vaccine, now have the opportunity of being inoculated as fresh 20 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID - 19 vaccine landed in Warri South Local Government Area today, Tuesday June 8.

The Information Officer I of Warri South Local Government Council, Onyeka Lilian Adudu, reports that Health Officials in the Council, assured that vaccination of the new 20 doses, will hold at the Primary Healthcare Center in Warri South Sub-Secretariat, Warri, from Wednesday June 9 through Friday June 11.

It was gathered that those who would take the first jab of the 20 new doses, will have their second jab next month, July.

Fresh Angle International understands that administration of the 20 new doses, expected to last for three days, does not affect the ongoing second jab of AstraZeneca COVID - 19 vaccine, which would end July 9 in Warri South Local Government Area.

Recall that a total of 3,800 doses of the vaccine was reportedly distributed to Warri South Council for the ongoing second jab of the vaccination, compared to over 4,000 doses received for the first jab.
