Whiliki celebrates Nwaoboshi on his birthday, defection to APC

Chief Christian C. Ighodaro Whiliki, also known as Chief C.C.I, APC Chieftain and member of the Delta State Elders and Leaders Forum has lauded the move of Senator Peter Onyeluka Nwaoboshi, senator representing Delta North in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, from the Peoples Democratic Party into the open embrace of the All Progressives Congress, APC, describing the step as politically suave, timely and brilliant in all ramifications.

In a press statement he personally signed, Chief Whiliki, a member of the Elders Council of the APC in Udu Local Government Area who holds the traditional title of Avwerotovie of Udu Kingdom and Omakelovie of Arhavwarien Kingdom, noted that Senator Nwaoboshi, ‘’a maverick political tactician has made a very brilliant move towards restoring the lost glory of Delta State in the coming years’’.

Chief Whiliki who is also the ‘Okobelebele of Ogor kingdom’ recalled his first encounter with Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, popularly called ‘The Oracle’ during the third republic when in 1997, both of them were contemporaries as LGA Chairmen of the now defunct Democratic Party of Nigeria, DPN in their respective Local Government Areas, Nwaoboshi for Oshimili North while Chief Whiliki was Chairman of Udu LGA.

‘’Nwaoboshi rose to be pioneer State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party and later State Chairman of the PDP where we met and serve our people before moving to join the ship of hope for Nigeria represented by the All Progressives Congress. I am glad Chief Nwaoboshi has come to join me in the APC and I am most delighted to welcome him into the biggest political party in Africa and to celebrate him on his 64^th birthday on June 29, 2021. High Chief Whiliki added that ‘’Senator Nwaoboshi’s move, no doubt has dealt a debilitating blow to the grip of the PDP in Delta North. We are glad our party has caught a very big fish to help nurture the party to greater heights and bring down the glory of the APC to berth on Delta shores in 2023.
