In a bid to reduce the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kogi State Government has earlier today, Friday July 2, announced the commencement of the Rapid Response Register, RRR registration in the state.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that the essence of the registration, according to the Government, is to enable Kogites benefit from COVID-19 Cash Transfer roll-out by the Federal Government.
According to a statement issued by the Kogi State SOCU Coordinator, Dr. Noah Alilu, on behalf of the State Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Asiwaju Idris explained that the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development and World Bank has gone live on RRR registration in Kogi State.
The Statement added: “Approved LGAs, Wards and Communities, can start dialing the USSD codes on the picture above, as applied to their respective Local Government Areas to get registered online to benefit from COVI19 Cash Transfer roll out by the Federal Government.
"The exercise is for everyone please. The exercise cut across 52 wards out of 239 political wards in Kogi State as selected and approved by NASSCO and the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs Abuja. Extension to the remaining wards and Local Government Areas, will commence after this first round".
