Police arraigns Pa. Ekpoto over allegation of forgery, age falsification

The Delta State Police Command on Monday September 27, arraigned factional Olare-Aja of Omadino Community in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, Pa. Mene Samuel Ejuiluwangho, over alleged, “forgery, age falsification and defrauding of Delta State Government, DESOPADEC”.

 

Fresh Angle International understands that the case, which was instituted by the Delta State Commissioner of Police in charge No: MW/141/c/2021 at Warri Magistrate Court 4 against Pa. Samuel Ejuiluwangho, was sequel to a petition filed to Area Command Headquarters, Nigeria Police, Warri, by Oritseweyinmi Emmanuel Aginejuone.

 

The Police claimed in the charge sheet: “That you Elder Mene Samuel Ejuiluwangho Ekpoto 'm sometime on the 16 day of November, 1966 at Warri Local Government Council, in the Warri Magisterial District, did register the certificate of your birth with form C (Bye Law 11) No. 1128 and vide receipts No: 5758 of 1093-Vol. 68 and forged the date of your birth to read 7 day of July, 1959 instead of 7 day of July, 1933, a representation you knew full well to be false and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 467 (2) (10) of the Criminal Code, Law Cap C21. Vol 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.”

 

“Count II: That you, Elder Mene Samuel Ejulluwangho Ekpoto 'm' sometime on the 30 day of August, 2021 at Omadino Community Warri, in the Warri Magisterial District, did impersonate the Olare-Aja of Omadino Community by inviting the Vanguard Newspaper Warri Branch Into your house at Omadino Community, and signed a title document wherein you falsely signed as the Olare-Aja of Omadino Community wherein you published a document titled The Concerned Indigenes of OML 150 Community Appreciation as published on page 22 of the Vanguard Newspaper dated Monday August 30, 2021 whereas you know full well the existence of Olare-Aja of Omadino Community in person of Elder Omasan David Edukugho and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 484 of the Criminal Code, Law Cap C21, Vol. L. Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.

 

“Count III: That you, Elder Mene Samuel Ejuiluwangho Ekpoto 'm' sometime on the 30 day of August, 2021 at Omadino Community Warri, in the War Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause breach of the peace by publicly usurping the role and duties of the Olare-Aja of Omadino Community, Elder Omasan David Edukugho by signing and publishing a document titled The concerned indigenes of OML 150 Communities appreciation in page 22 of the Vanguard Newspaper dated Monday August 30,2021 and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 249 (e) of the Criminal Code, Law Cap C21, Vol. 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006”.

 

This Newspaper can report that hearing in the case will continue Thursday October 21, 2021.
