NAIG to name permanent secretariat, Ogiame Atuwatse III Hall

The National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG, has disclosed plans to build a permanent secretariat and name it Ogiame Atuwatse III Hall, appealing to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, for his support towards actualizing the project.

 

Fresh Angle International can report that President of NAIG, Comrade Ben Eburajolor, made the disclosure Wednesday October 20, when the leadership of the apex Itsekiri graduates’ body, paid homage to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and congratulated him on his ascension to the exalted throne.

 

Comrade Eburajolor, said NAIG will soon be 26 years old, noting that operating from the current rented secretariat at Ugbori, Warri, “is sometimes very challenging to offset the bills”.

 

Whilst hinting the Warri Monarch about the perceived inhuman treatment meted against Itsekiri graduate-trainees in VTP5/OTP2 Programme by the management of Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL, the NAIG President, stressed that they will do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure that CNL convert the Itsekiri graduate-trainees in VTP5/OTP2 Programme to, “their BLUE Badge staff”.

 

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, commended the leadership of NAIG, “for their loyalty to Warri kingdom”, advising them to look inward and add value to the growth of the Kingdom.

 

 

The Monarch, charged Itsekiri graduates, especially those who studied engineering to work towards creating jobs for people.

 

He revealed plans to meet with his subjects who are professionals, so as to enhance development of skills’ based knowledge and assured the leadership of NAIG as well as other Iwere people of empowerment.

 

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the NAIG delegation also paid a solidarity visit to the management of Rize FM Warri and donated 10 bags of cement, to support rebuilding of the station, burnt last week.
