In what looks like a strong political intent in the build-up towards the 2015 general elections, a former Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm and current Director of Protocol, D.O.P, Delta State Government House, Hon. Godwin Toritseju Abigor says he has come of age to take up greater political responsibility.

Hon. Abigor who is believed to be eyeing the Warri South Constituency 1 seat in Delta State House of Assembly in the 2015 polls, noted that “after 17 years of mentorship, 5 years as Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm and 12 years at the state level”, it became necessary to consult with the PDP leadership in his ward on the possibility of vying for Warri South Constituency 1 seat in 2015.

The former lawmaker who made the assertion Sunday August 10 at his ward secretariat in Warri said, “having worked with the governor as a forerunner for so many years, I think I have acquired enough experience in governance and I’m not afraid of any form of challenge. I may have offended a lot of people because of the difficult job of D.O.P (Director of Protocol) but I appeal for forgiveness. I must also note that I’m the first person to have held the position of D.O.P for up to 5 years in Delta State”.

While describing Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan as father of modern Delta State, Hon. Abigor stressed that as a home-grown Warri boy he can be easily accessed by everyone in Warri South Constituency 1.

Leader of the Ward, Mr. Dandy Idundun, a PDP Chieftain in Warri, Hon. Omimi Esquire were among party leaders who spoke glowingly about Hon. Abigor in the presence of his large crowd of supporters.
