Police rescues breastfeeding mother 24 hrs after kidnap

The Delta State Police Command have rescued a breastfeeding mother identified as Mrs. Adeyemi 24 hours after she was kidnapped along Standard Life Bible Church Road, off DLA Asaba, Fresh Angle has learnt.

The woman who drove in a Kia Sorento Jeep with her new baby was taken away by her abductors, while her vehicle and baby were abandoned.

According to police report, a team of operatives from ‘A’ Division of the Nigeria Police, Asaba acted on a tip off and stormed the hideout of the hoodlums at Issele- Uku where the kidnappers on sighting the operatives took to their heels.

The victim who was rescued unhurt has been reunited with her family, while efforts have been stepped up by the police to track down the fleeing hoodlums.

Meanwhile, a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP Celestina Kalu says an alleged armed robber named Johnson Obule have been arrested by the Police Anti-Robbery Patrol Team in Ogwashi-Uku over an operation carried out at Jolly Hostel, along Ogbe- Ofu quarters, Ogwashi- Uku.

Items recovered from him, include one knife and one Daylong Motorcycle with registration No. HER 280 QA, even as other members of his gang escaped.
