A deaf and dumb, who allegedly specializes in mobile phone theft, was caught today, Tuesday November 16 at Okere Market in Warri, Delta State, whilst his accomplice escaped.
Fresh Angle International understands that the unidentified deaf and dumb phone thief, was immediately taken to Okere Community hall for interrogation.
It was learnt that a deaf who came with his son to assist in the interrogation, said the phone thief claimed to have come from Ughelli, allegedly saying he was called by his accomplice, who is now at large, to assist him in distracting unsuspecting victims.
Report said they went to a shop at Okere Market, pretending to be customers, who want to buy something. They purportedly told owner of the shop to go and give them malt, as soon as the shop owner dropped her mobile phone and went inside to get the malt for them, one of the thieves took the phone. The shop owner, immediately noticed her phone was missing and raised alarm, leading to nabbing of the deaf and dumb, while his accomplice escaped.
Two Tecno phones, was seen with the suspect.
