An Environmentalist and Project Director of Niger Delta Environmental Restoration Project, NDEREP, Prince David Omaghomi says the only way the tripod legacy projects of the Federal Government lime the NIMASA Dockyard and Shipyard, Nigeria Maritime University, NMU as well as the EPZ Gas City Projects can be realized in Delta State is if the President Goodluck Jonathan administration continues in office beyond 2015.
Prince Omaghomi who spoke in Warri Saturday August 16 during the maiden launch of NAIG FOCUS, a Magazine published by the National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, NAIG called on Itsekiris and Ijaws of Warri South-West local Government to desist from the media war in regards to the EPZ Gas City Project, accommodate each other’s interest and support the Jonathan administration in its quest to develop the Niger Delta, particularly the coastal communities.
The PDP Chieftain while calling on President Jonathan to declare his re-election bid, enjoined people of Delta South Senatorial District to support the 2015 Senatorial ambition of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, stressing that the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan as well as the actualization of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s Senatorial ambition is vital for the actualization of Mr. President's tripod projects in Warri South- West Local Government.
He commended NAIG for providing intellectual based engagement for Itsekiri Youths as against gang style approach for the development of Iwere Kingdom.
Former Delta State Commissioner for Works, Dr. Alex Tosan Ideh whose message at the occasion was delivered by Surveyor George Omajuwa Okotie, former NIMASA Boss, Barr. Temisan Omatseye, represented by Bar. Ernest Oritsegbeyiwa Ekpoto and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and Legal Adviser to Itsekiri National Youths Council, Barr. Robinson Ariyo decried the present situation where individual interests have taken over the collective interests of Itsekiri Nation unlike what was obtained in the past and commended the Alero Tenumah led NAIG for reawakening the intellectual approach towards developing Iwere Kingdom.
In her opening remark, National President of NAIG, Alero Tenumah stated that members of the association shall remain unruffled by all forms of intimidation orchestrated by “house burning, breaking and entry, raping as well as malicious destruction of property” in the interest of Itsekiri Nation.

She called on all true sons and daughters of Iwere Nation to endure the trying times, noting that her leadership is addressing challenges facing members of the association by employing their brains, adding that “the pen is mightier than the cutlass and pullet”.
High points of the magazine launch were the display of Itsekiri attire, the formal launch of NAIG Focus Magazine as well as Itsekiri cultural dance.
