The Chief Convener, Delta United For Tony Obuh, DUF, Chief Ayirimi Emami has stressed that apart from consolidating its push towards actualizing the 2015 gubernatorial ambition of Mr. Tony Obuh, members of DUF are totally committed to pursuing the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan in the next general elections.
Chief Emami made the clarification at Asaba, the Delta State Capital when a staunch member of DUF and lawmaker representing Uvwie Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Efe Ofobruku played host to the group.
He declared, “it is important for every member to realize that the crusade is not just for Tony Obuh to become governor, but we are also in total support of President Goodluck Jonathan re-election come 2015, because the President is one of our own and has performed creditably well to deserve a second term”.
The PDP Chieftain has consistently maintained that apart from being a proven technocrat, Mr. Tony Obuh’s experience in government over the years as well as his level of interaction with key political stakeholders and opinion leaders in the state puts him in great stead to take over the governorship from Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in 2015.
Chief Emami who was addressing members of DUF stressed the need for them to remain committed towards the Tony Obuh for governor project and to avoid acts capable of working against the interest of the group in particular and PDP in general.
