2015: I will be loyal to you, Obuh tells Deltans

A gubernatorial aspirant in the 2015 general elections in Delta State under the platform of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sir Tony Chuks Obuh has assured Deltans that he will be loyal to them if elected as governor of the State in 2015.

He gave the assurance in Bomadi during a consultative visit to PDP leadership in Bomadi Local Government Area.

Our Bomadi Correspondent reports that the governorship hopeful who was accompanied by the Director, Tony Obuh Campaign Organization, Chief Fred Majemite, Chief Alanza Uche, Barr. Frank Nwogu, Chief Faith Majemite and Barr. Jaro Egbo among other supporters, promised that he will run an all-embracing government where Deltans will continue to live together as brothers.

He maintained, “Delta can grow together in spite of ethnic differences, live in peace and progress in our jet age”.

Addressing the large crowd of party supporters, chieftains of the party and other enthusiasts who were at the party secretariat to catch a glimpse of the governorship aspirant, Obuh said if elected as governor of the state, he will consolidate on the gains already achieved by the present administration in all sectors of the economy, noting that the agricultural sector can be revamped to enable farmers process their goods into finished products and they “will have real value for their products”.

While expressing delight over the warm reception accorded him and his team, the seasoned technocrat who many now refer to as the anointed candidate, stated that he offered himself as an instrument to the development of the state, saying he will develop the wealth of the state for an overall development of Deltans given his wealth of knowledge in administration and governance, having served in different capacities in the state.

According to Obuh, “mortality rate can be reduced, elders in the state can be taken care of. I believe that this can only be achieved through a political platform. Therefore,  I will continue to be a loyal member of the party in order to achieve these goals in the state”, just as he enjoined the leadership of the party to send his message to elders of the party.

Responding, the Chairman of PDP Bomadi Local Government Area, Hon. Pius Labo told the governorship aspirant that he has the full support of party members in the Local Government and promised to be at the driver’s seat to mobilize the grassroots for Obuh’s aspiration.
