IDU resolves crisis rocking HOSTCOM, Isoko Nation

The Isoko Development Union, IDU has resolved the crisis rocking HOSTCOM in Isoko Nation, endorsing Apostle Odiri Akpode Lucky as the authentic Chairman of HOSTCOM, Isoko Nation.

This much was disclosed Monday October 27 at the Civic Centre, Oleh in Isoko South Local Government Area after a consultative meeting held at the instance of IDU.

In an interview with newsmen during a protest before the consultative meeting, Apostle Odiri Akpode Lucky stated that his faction of HOSTCOM was inaugurated in 2012 and received the yearly provision from DESOPADEC but was surprised that the same was released to Mr. Esibelo whose group came into existence in June 17, 2014.

He disclosed that several letters have been written to the Commissioner representing Isoko Nation in the Board of DESOPADEC, Architect Ogeh to mediate in Isoko HOSTCOM uproar to no avail. He opined that the Commissioner has hidden intentions in Isoko HOSTCOM.

Apostle Lucky expressed optimism that whatever had been released to a wrong party will be returned,  stating that IDU, the umbrella body of the Isoko Nation has the final say on the issue.

Chairman Seven-man Committee-HOSTCOM Isoko Nation, Irri Branch, Mr. Israel Oguedhor told newsmen that it was a peaceful protest to say “NO” to Mr. Esibelo who has allegedly been diverting the rights of the Isoko Nation from DESOPADEC in collaboration with the Isoko Commissioner in DESOPADEC, Architect Ogeh.

According to Mr. Oguedhor, having Apostle Odiri Akpode Lucky as HOSTCOM Chairman, will make the Isoko Nation enjoy all benefits due her in DESOPADEC.

Isoko Youth Leader, Comrade Edere David described the day as “a day of victory”.
