Some unidentified armed men who abducted one Ogbogu Okonji at Eziukwu quarters in Ibusa, Delta State have escaped from their hideout at a farm road in Eziukwu, Ibusa with their victim despite a hot chase from the police, Fresh Angle can report.
The hoodlums who reportedly abandoned their operational vehicle, a Hilux Pick-Up with Reg. No KD 406 XA on sighting the police Anti-Robbery Patrol team, escaped into the bush with the abducted Ogbogu Okonji. Fresh Angle gathered that the police futile chase is sequel to report from the victim’s daughter, Okonji Ngozi that some armed men at about 2100hrs on the fateful day invaded their residence and abducted her father after robbing them of undisclosed sum of money, nine handsets and some cartons of juice drinks.
A police report says efforts are being stepped up to rescue the victim and track down the hoodlums.
