Re-elected Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema has charged his Vice Chairman, Hon. Charlie Etseaghara and the newly elected nineteen councilors in the local government to brace up for the challenges ahead, stressing that as leaders they must not fail their people in rendering purposeful leadership, particularly in the provision of good roads, food security, schools, infrastructure as well as enrichment of standard of living of the electorates.
The Warri South Council Boss gave the charge today during the swearing-in of the re-elected Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Charlie Etseaghara and nineteen councilors at the Legislative Arm of Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri.
Hon. Mofe Edema reminded the newly elected representatives to be magnanimous in victory, stressing that it is time to fulfill electoral promises now that elections are over.
While commending the state government, leadership of the PDP in the state and the local government as well as the electorates for a hitch free election, devoid of violence, Hon. Edema disclosed that his administration is poised to offer an alternative to health challenges by launching a regular physical exercise amongst people living in the council with a view to building on their fitness.
Our Correspondent reports that Chief Magistrate Ena Ojudgo earlier administered Oath of Allegiance, Public Office, Secrecy and Oath of Office to the re-elected Vice Chairman of the council, former Leader of the Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Sunday Okiemute Aguweye, ex- Deputy Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Richard Pessu, seven re-elected councilors and ten other councilors who were newly elected.

The re-elected councilor representing Mc-Dermott ward, Hon. Romeo Ogedegbe who responded on behalf of others, promised that they will key into Hon. Edema’s philosophy of service to humanity as well as work with him and the PDP leadership with a view to fulfilling their electoral mandate to people of Warri South Local Government.
