Our Correspondents report that the accident which occurred barely an hour after the rain which started in the wee hours of the morning, involved two Camry cars with registration numbers Delta WWR 206 JX, Lagos RC 536 AAA, a Jetta Delta  AJ 908 JRT and a Volkswagen car with registration number Delta AH 972 SKL.

Although no live was lost in the accident, but owners of the affected vehicles traded blame at each other in their various accounts to Our Correspondents. The owner of Camry Delta WWR 206 JX whose car suffered the worst hit, with two occupants on board, explained that when he noticed the other Camry car with registration number Lagos RC 536 AAA on his front swerving and losing control, he applied brake but still hit the car from the rear.

In a swift reaction, the owner of Camry Lagos RC 536 AA, Mr. John Atigolo claimed he was on speed and didn’t see the Volkswagen cab directly ahead of him on time, saying despite applying brake to avoid collision, his car hit the cab driven by a young man with his female passenger from behind and this resulted in the other Camry hitting his fender, while the Jetta Delta AJ 908 JRT in an attempt to avoid collision ran into a nearby pavement damaging his car.

Incidences of auto-crash has become prevalent along the NPA Express Way in recent times, with several persons losing their lives either as a result of brake failure or their cars ramming into stationary vehicles.
