As part of efforts by the present administration of Hon. Oluwole Karetimi in Bomadi Local Government Council to implement the economic strategy of Delta Beyond Oil Policy of the Uduaghan administration, authorities of the council have entered into partnership with Sterling Bank to fast-track the socio-economic development of the various communities in the Local Government Area.
Speaking at the chairman’s office where the council boss held talks with the Regional Manager of the bank, Emmanuel Emefielin, the Bomadi Council Chairman, Hon. Karetimi observed that the absence of banks in Bomadi Local Government Area remains a huge setback to the attainment and full implementation of the economic policy of the State Government in the Local Government Area. He noted that there was urgent need to attract a bank to the area, stressing that no viable economic growth can take place without the presence of financial institutions in any locality.
While describing his administration’s policy as government-private partnership, Hon. Karetimi offered the bank a parcel of land belonging to the council, saying decisions reached will be ratified by the Council Executive.
The council boss assured the bank’s regional head that “safety and security of investments in the Local Government Area are guaranteed”, promising that his administration will provide the enabling environment for economic activities to thrive, even as he wooed other investors to take advantage of the economic potentials and the peaceful environment to invest and do business.
