The Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, Chief Oluwole Karetimi has extolled the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan for the appointment of Barr. David Ekereokosu as Commissioner into the State Executive Council.
The Council Chairman gave the commendation at his office in Bomadi while commenting on the slight cabinet shake-up that paved the way for the appointment of Barr. Ekereokosu, saying “it is a welcome development, it’s deserving”.
Chief Karetimi who was particularly delighted for the choice of Barr. Ekereokosu, said his appointment represents the best interest of the people of Bomadi Local Government Area.
Describing the new commissioner as honest and committed PDP stalwart who has worked for the progress of the party at the Local Government level, the Bomadi Council boss assured the Governor that Bomadi Local Government Council under his leadership will experience genuine sustainable grassroots development, capable of impacting positively on the future generation.
Chief Karetimi who also applauded the leadership role of the lawmaker representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Nicholas Mutu in the Local Government Area, pointed out that Barr. Ekereokosu's appointment is well thought out.
Until his appointment, the 50-year old new Commissioner served under the first four years of Uduaghan’s administration as Special Adviser to the Governor on Oil and Gas before he was made Commissioner in the Ministry.
