Senator Okowa disclosed to the U. S Consul - General on plan to establish Agro - based industrial Parks in the three Senatorial districts of the State, saying the whole idea is to enhance competition among farmers, encourage the youths to take to agriculture, stimulate agribusiness in the region, attract private sector investment, and increase commercial farming in the State.

Responding, the U. S Consul - General, Jeffrey Hawkins, said the meeting is part of the United States contribution to a transparent and peaceful governorship election in Delta State. He said the U.S looks forward to partnering with the State government in the area of youth development, and lauded Senator Okowa's wealth and job creation plan targeted at the youths of Delta State.
