Igbrude receives 2021 Role Model in leadership and outstanding HPM Award

Head of Personnel Management, Warri South Local Government Council in Delta State, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Ajuwede Igbrude, on Wednesday November 17, received the 2021 ROLE MODEL IN LEADERSHIP AND OUTSTANDING HPM OF THE YEAR award, from Publisher/CEO Nigeria Radar Magazine, Mr. Tony C. Okwunebe A1.

In an address before presenting the award to Dr. Igbrude at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat in Warri, Delta State, Okwunebe, explained that the award was designed to appreciate distinguished Nigerians, who have worked very hard to making lasting landmarks in their various fields of endeavours. 

The Publisher, emphasized: “Nigerian Distinguished Medal of Honour Award, is created by Nigeria Radar Magazine to celebrate extraordinary people for their extraordinary contributions towards excellence in service to humanity and the high premium value they placed unto the dignity of mankind. The honour serves as means of inspiration to others to help build a safer and better Nigerian society. It is a system of recognition that is MERIT-Based.

“It is gratifying to inform you that we have followed your impressive leadership activities over the years and have observed with great fulfillment, your ability and commitment towards ensuring high standard service delivery, especially as it pertains to local government service administration. You have instituted high level of service and dedication to duties and have sustained it over the years.

“Your activities and policies have contributed in more ways than one to the development of the Council secretariat that you have served, especially in Oshimili South, Aniocha South, Bomadi and now Warri South Local Government Council, where your record of achievements had remained indelible.

“It's also on record that the few periods you stood in as Council Chairman for Warri South Council, you addressed issues of insecurity and established warm relationship with the traditional institutions within the Council area. In the area of attending to the less privileged in the society, you were able to empower over 450 widows and countless less privileged persons, who survive today through your humanitarian service to mankind. Achieving this feat wasn't easy as it were, because it only takes someone with passion for development to take the necessary needed actions against the usual culture of disorderliness, to achieve the results that put you high amongst equal. Warri South local Government Council, stands out among the comity of councils in Delta State. This is most commendable.

“You have therefore written your name in the Sands of Time with remarkable achievements through diligence, integrity, hard work and humility as well as working endlessly for the overall development of Warri South Council and Delta State at large. This is most commendable.

“This is in recognition of your distinguished self as a Game-changer and for your strategic support to quality development and advancement of Excellence in service delivery in Delta State. This is also our own little way of saying THANK YOU AND KEEP DOING THE GOOD WORKS with this Recognition for Excellence presented to you today”.

Dr. Igbrude, a Director of Administration, in her response, stated: “God always plan for me. This is the fourth award bestowed on me this year. I don't beg for award. This is the first time I am seeing the publisher. Everything about our life, has been planned by God. I dedicate this award to my husband, Y.D. Igbrude, who passed on 9 years ago. It is an individual’s work that makes him or her stands out. My Chairman, Dr. Michael Tidi, is so hardworking and I have no other choice than to step up. Thank you (Dr. Tidi) for making the world to recognize me”.  

The Warri South Council HPM, who also commended the Assistant Director of Administration, Warri South Local Government Council, Mr. Geoffrey Anamali, for his support, praised Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, describing him as the most gentleman she has seen.

Dr. Igbrude, stressed the need for everyone to share love everywhere they go, promising to do her bit in terms of supporting the charity work of Mr. Tony C. Okwunebe A1.

Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Joseph Oribioye, in his remarks, described the award as divine and urged those working under Dr. Igbrude to emulate her good deeds.
