Ereyitomi empowers over 170 constituents, promises more projects

The Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency in House of Representatives and Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC Chief (Dr.) Thomas Ereyitomi, has empowered over 170 people in his constituency on different skills, as part of efforts to stimulate economic activities in Warri South, Warri North and Warri South - West Local Government Areas in Delta State.

 

Our Senior Correspondent, reports that the programme, which is part of the zonal empowerment programme of the first - term federal lawmaker, saw the beneficiaries undergoing training in fish farming, catering and pastries.

 

Chief Ereyitomi, explained that it was part of his strategy to ensure that his constituents feel true representation and be genuinely happy.

According to him, since 2019 when he was elected into office, he has been attracting series of empowerment programmes to Warri Federal Constituency, in a bid to add value to the lives of the people and stimulate the economy of the area.

 

Chief Ereyitomi, who was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Barr. Alex Gbiwen at the training programme held Friday November 19 in Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area, urged the trainees to endeavor to master the skills, in order to put the knowledge to fruitful use and become job creators.  

 

Chief Ereyitomi, said: "I shall continue to make our people happy, it is a dream, which has become reality. Putting smiles on the faces and lives of people, irrespective of their tribe, religion and political affiliation, gives me happiness. 

 

"I want our people to note that with their mandate entrusted to me, more dividends of democracy will be created and sustained. I appeal for your support to continue and embark on massive attraction of quality projects to Warri Federal Constituency."

 

He charged the beneficiaries to put the items given to them and other largesse associated with it to effective use.

 

Samuel Todo, Tekedor Quinton, Joseph Dogor, Francis Ugedi Esite and Jennifer Itsefino, spoke on behalf of Itsekiri, Ijaw, Urhobo and others in the constituency, during the programme, assuring Chief Ereyitomi of mobilizing support towards his reelection in 2023.

 

They said the training would make them self - reliant and possible wealth creators in no distant time.
