The Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon. (Capt.) Smart Asekutu, has appealed to Egbema youths, to suspend the planned protest against NPDC as well as ELCREST and seek alternative means of conflict resolution, assuring people of Warri North of his administration's commitment to peace and security.
Fresh Angle International understands that the Warri North Local Government Chief Security Officer, made the call today, Tuesday December 7, after an emergency meeting with security agencies at the Warri North Council Secretariat in Koko.

Hon. Asekutu, who assured that in line with Gov. Okowa's stronger Delta Agenda, he will continue to operate an open door policy, called on the management of NPDC and ELCREST, to listen to the yearnings and aspirations of the people, so as to avert friction with the host communities.
While noting that, it is the right of the people to protest peacefully and register their displeasure, the Local Government Boss, urged the management of NPDC and ELCREST to carry out their CSR as demanded by the Egbema Youths.
He thanked the security agencies, particularly the Commanding Officer, 19 Battalion, Major JO Ajongbo, DPO, Koko Police Division, Mr. Othuke and the DSS, Mr. Clement Ibitoye, for their support toward keeping the peace in Warri North Local Government Area.
