There are indications that the many years of conflict between Aladja Community in Udu Local Government Area and Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri South-West Local Government Area, both of Delta State, may soon come to an end, following the commencement of boundary demarcation between the two local government areas.

Our Warri South-West Correspondent, scooped that the demarcation exercise, which began Thursday December 16, was supervised by the Chairmen of Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas, Hon. Jite Brown and Hon. Taiye Duke Tuoyo, respectively and was witnessed by representatives from Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh Communities as well as security chiefs.

Recall that the most recent confrontation between the neighbouring communities over land dispute, occurred between the late hours of Saturday November 20 and the wee-hours of Sunday November 21, this year. The conflict led to some casualties, including an Aladja indigene by the name Daniel Gbikeke, an African traditionalist.
