The mother of five whose school children were allegedly sold to a suspected ritualist in Otokutu, Delta State has slumped and died.
The five kids whose age ranges between two and eight were sold for N5 million by a tricycle operator, who conveyed them to school.
THE SUN reports that the deal was blown open when a female friend to the mother of the children called to tell her that her children were not in school. The mother ran to the school but did not see her children. She immediately rushed to the residence of the tricycle operator, who the family had trusted so much and met the man moving his belongings apparently in a bid to escape.
The mother then raised alarm, which led to the tricycle's operator's arrest. At the police station, the tricycle operator admitted abducting the five children.
The suspect disclosed that he sold the children to a ritualist from the Northern part of the Country.
When all efforts to track the ritualist, proved abortive the mother of five slumped and died. Her husband who slumped alongside his wife is currently in a hospital receiving treatment.
